Heelifts
|
 |
"I’ve had the pleasure of helping thousands of women have more fun
skiing after putting Heelifts in their boots. I wish that I could take that
first run with you when you discover for yourself how much easier and more fun
it is to ski with Heelifts."
Jeannie Thoren
P.S. If the guy in your life is having any of the same skiing problems you
have had (and many do), make their day by giving them their own set of heelifts.

FITTING YOUR HEELIFTS
|
IF YOU SIT BACK
- In most boots (virtually all rear entry types), the Heelift goes inside
your liner under the stock insole. Take out left insole (pry up with a
screwdriver if necessary) and place the higher Heelift underneath. Make sure
the Heelift is all the way to the back of the boot. Taking care that you don’t
shift the Heelift forward, re-insert insole. Try on and compare this to
right boot without Heelift. Keeping your upper body and hips erect, stand on
left foot and flex forward. Next, stand on right foot and flex forward. You
should notice it is easier to flex the boot forward with the Heelift. This
position, achieved with heel lifts, will get you forward and give you more
control.

 |
IF YOUR BOOT STILL FEELS SLOPPY
- a) Women have smaller volume feet with narrower heels than men so many
women find they can easily fit both Heelifts under the insoles. It may seem
like overkill, but in many cases, it takes two Heelifts to finally have your
foot feel the snug heel pocket designed into the boot.
IF YOUR TOP BUCKLES PINCHES YOUR CALF MUSCLE
- Women naturally have a larger, lower calf muscle than men do. In this
case, two Heelifts raise the
calf muscle high enough to eliminate pinching at the top of the boot.
90% OF ALL WOMEN WILL FIND THEIR CORRECT FIT WITH OPTIONS 1 OR 2

 |
|
IF YOU HAVE A HIGH INSTEP
- a) If you have a high instep and feel discomfort on the top of your foot
with option number one, try putting the Heelift under the bootliner. All
liners are removable. In this instance, the Heelift will pull your foot back
from the front of the boot and actually give you more room. In your case,
the Heelift will relieve instep pressure and get you forward.
IF YOU HAVE A FRONT ENTRY BOOT
- Women with front entry boots that fit well may still sit back on their
skis. The Heelift placed under the liner, will put them in the correct
forward position without disrupting the fit of the boot.

IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL FITTING NEEDS
- For hard –to-fit individuals, a combination of Heelifts is ideal.
Experiment with the two sizes to find out which Heelift should go inside the
liner and which should go under the liner. You may have different leg
lengths or foot sizes. It is common to have one combination of Heelifts in
one boot and a different combination in the other to best meet your needs.
FINAL INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Once you’ve found which of the Heelift possibilities is best for your boot
fit, simply peel back the two-way tape strip and install. Remember that it is
important that the Heelift is all the way to the back of the boot. If for any
reason you are having difficulty installing these by yourself, by all means have
your bootfitter help you out. He or she will be more than happy to assist you.
